Kaohsiung Film Festival 2010
The Kaohsiung Film Festival is here! An excellent opportunity to get involved with local movie culture in Kaohsiung.
Date: From 22nd October until 4th November 2010
Ticket Price: NT$180. An “Early Bird ticket” will cost NT$150 and will sell only from 13th – 30th September 2010. If you keep the stub of the early bird ticket, you can attend as many screenings as you wish for free.

The Kaohsiung Film Festival will run from 22nd October until 4th November 2010. It is the 10th Anniversary of the Kaohsiung Film Festival. There will be more than 70 international films playing. The main theme will be “love”. Serbia and Thailand are selected to be theme countries of the Film Festival. Martial arts and romantic movies will also be screened.

Kaohsiung Film Archives
This is situated by the Love River. You can normally watch artistic movies here for FREE. The Kaohsiung Film Archives give the audience an option to view something other than commercial movies. On the ground floor, there is an exhibition of movie artifacts. You can see the free movies on the third floor.

- Take the Orange Line and get off at Yanchengpu (R02)
- Take the exit for Wufu road and walk east up Wufu Road toward the Love River (10 minutes)
- At the Love River turn left (North) and walk down Hesi Road (2 minutes)
- The Kaohsiung Film Archives are on your left

Pier-2 Art Centre
This is a popular area and displays indoor and outdoor artworks. It is located around a distinguished disused wharf. The Pier-2 warehouse was originally used for sugar storage. This area is ideal for walking and cycling.

Cinemark in Dream Mall
After you have seen a movie at the Cinemark in Dream Mall, you can take the ferris wheel on the top floor. You can enjoy the beautiful view over Kaohsiung. This is especially lovely in the evening when all the lights are on in the city. You can also enjoy shopping in the largest shopping complex in the whole of Southern Taiwan.
