Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts

The Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts is located within the Neiweipi Cultural Park in Aozihdi, Gushan District. The Museum was first opened in 1994. If you enjoy visual arts then this is definitely the place for you. You can also see on display interesting and important Taiwanese artworks. Quite often you will see International art exhibitions as well as local arts. Regular guided tours are provided in English, Japanese, Mandarin and Taiwanese.

Outside the museum is a square with an outdoor cafe and a Kid’s Artistic Garden. This is a great place for visitor’s to relax.

Entrance Fee: Free to enter. For special exhibitions a ticket purchase may be required.

Opening Hours: 09.00 am – 17.00 pm (closed on Mondays, Chinese New Year’s Eve, Chinese New Year’s Day)

How to get there:

Metro/Underground

     

  • Take the Red Line to Aozihdi (R13)

     

  • Walk west up Mingcheng Road for 15 minutes, the park is right there.

Total walk time 15 minutes

By Bus

     

  • From Aozihdi Metro, bus no. 205 or 57 (every ten minutes, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., one every hour on holidays)
