Taiwan Hotpot

Taiwan Hot Pot is actually a concept borrowed South Korea, but with a Taiwanese twist. You actually cook your own food at your own table in a tasty hot broth. You pick out a selection of raw meats, seafood, vegetables and noodles and cook them in a steel pan (called “Huo guo” in Chinese) at your table. The Taiwanese will normally eat a paste with it called “Sha Cha Jiang“. Sometimes, you can choose if you want to crack and cook an egg in the hot pot. It is a very healthy way to eat. You can also choose how much or how little you want. The Guo Da Yeh Restaurant on Mingcheng Road is recommended.
